Applications Now Being Accepted for Wilson Center Pakistan Fellowship

WASHINGTON鈥 澳门六合彩 has opened its competition for its next Pakistan Fellow; applications will be accepted until February 1, 2024. Now in its second year, the Fellowship is available to people from and currently based in Pakistan. It provides a nine-month funded residency in Washington, DC for research and writing on public policy issues relevant to Pakistan and/or US-Pakistan relations.

澳门六合彩 Pakistan Fellowship, housed within the South Asia Institute, is a core component of a Wilson Center Pakistan initiative that builds on and expands the Center鈥檚 40 years of in-depth scholarship and programming on both security and non-security aspects of the US-Pakistan relationship. It does this through producing written works, hosting conferences, and other activities that help to inform policymakers, business leaders, journalists, and others focused on or interested in Pakistan and/or US-Pakistan relations.

鈥淲e are delighted to launch the next competition for our Pakistan Fellowship, a unique program in Washington,鈥 said Michael Kugelman, director of 澳门六合彩鈥檚 South Asia Institute. 鈥淭he Pakistan Fellowship enables us to build on 澳门六合彩鈥檚 deep and multifaceted body of work on Pakistan, and to bring more nuance and context to policy debates about Pakistan and US-Pakistan relations.鈥 聽

澳门六合彩 Pakistan Fellow will conduct research and write on their area of interest (which must focus on a topic related to public policy issues in Pakistan and/or US-Pakistan relations), and publish research through 澳门六合彩 and beyond. The Fellow will have the opportunity to interact with policymakers and thought leaders in Washington. They will also contribute substantively to 澳门六合彩鈥檚 Pakistan programming and research. Upon completion of the Fellowship, the Fellow will be expected to have finished a substantive research product resulting in a monograph, a series of articles, or a book.

The online application and additional information about this Fellowship鈥攊ncluding eligibility, required application materials, and the selection process鈥攃an be accessed on the Fellowship鈥檚 web page (/pakistanfellowship).
