NKIDP Senior Adviser Mitchell Lerner writes in The Diplomat that "patience, not peemption," is what is needed on the Korean Peninsula.
NKIDP Senior Adviser Mitchell Lerner has published an article in The Diplomat entitled "Patience, Not Preemption, on the Korean Peninsula."
Lerner, associate professor of history and director of the Institute for Korean Studies at The Ohio State University, cautions against a U.S. preemptive attack on North Korea. Though North Korea's behavior has been provocative, Lerner suggests "that a preemptive strike on North Korea, even an extremely limited one, fails the cost/benefit analysis"
