Arnaud Kurze, Class of 2020

Wilson Center Fellow Arnaud Kurze recently published his book, New Critical Spaces in Transitional Justice. Kurze worked on this book while a research scholar at the Center in 2014-2015.

This book highlights the traditional justice mechanisms that have been applied to mass atrocities and grave human rights violations throughout the world since the 1980s. It explains new trends in response to post-conflict and post-authoritarian nations and offers original empirical research to help define the field for the future.

Arnaud Kurze is Assistant Professor of Justice Studies at聽. His scholarly work on transitional justice in the post-Arab Spring world focuses particularly on youth activism, art and collective memory.听Since 2013 he has been a Visiting Scholar at New York University.He is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including聽the American Council on Learned Societies and Sciences Po.
