Arctic research provides聽knowledge and understanding that are fundamental to informing policy and聽decisions in the North. The聽听"Report on the Goals and Objectives for Arctic Research 2023-2024," presented聽to the president and Congress, establishes national聽Arctic research priorities and recommendations that, when achieved, will聽advance efforts outlined in our nation鈥檚 Arctic policies, strategies, and聽plans. The聽commission, an independent federal agency created by the Arctic Research聽and Policy Act, is a presidentially appointed advisory body.



Please join the聽Wilson Center鈥檚 Polar Institute and the US Arctic Research Commission for the public release of the commission鈥檚 new聽report. The event will include remarks from Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK),聽and senior officials from the White House, the聽National Science Foundation, the聽National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, State Department, and from commissioners and聽staff.
