Full Biography
As Head of Music ( LatAm) at YouTube, Sandra Jimenez directs a multidisciplinary team focused on Labels, Artists, and Publishing relationships.
For artists, her team focuses on developing and executing strategies to support the growth of artists’ careers on YouTube and Google Play Music. For Labels, the focus is on developing content strategies across their portfolio to help foster consistent growth on the platform. With publishers and songwriters, the team provides tools and training to manage their presence on YouTube.
Sandra is a Brazilian native with a deep knowledge of music and Latin culture. Under her leadership, YouTube in the region has seen immense growth and opportunities and has helped shine a spotlight on artists such as Ozuna, Daddy Yankee, Nati Natasha, J Balvin, Anitta, Ludmilla, and Bad Bunny.
Prior to joining YouTube as a Strategic Partner Manager in 2013, Sandra worked at MTV Brazil, as Digital and New Business Director, developing its digital strategy and interactive projects, including on-air projects, licensing, and e-commerce. She was also responsible for voting for MTV Music Awards and live-streaming events in the region.
Sandra holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and executive education from MIT and Stanford. For the last years, 2017-2023, Sandra was recognized in Billboard’s Latin Power Players List and in the last three years, 2021-2024, She was recognized in Billboard's International Power Play List.
