Across the globe, cities are seeking innovative strategies to revitalize struggling and neglected neighborhoods and transform underutilized land in declining commercial and industrial areas. Strategic approaches to urban revitalization can achieve broader goals for promoting local economic development, advancing social equity, tackling environmental challenges and enhancing cultural assets. However, without meaningful community engagement and careful planning, urban regeneration projects can accelerate displacement, gentrification and loss of cultural heritage.



For the past two years, 澳门六合彩鈥檚 Urban Sustainability Laboratory and the Korea Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) have joined together in a comparative study of the partnerships, financing arrangements and policies that contribute to successful urban regeneration projects. Please join us for a Networking Event at the World Urban Forum featuring a panel of government officials, urban development experts and leading academics who will present policy recommendations based on comprehensive case studies of urban regeneration in cities around the world.
