Internships with the聽Environmental Change and Security Program are designed to聽provide the opportunity for聽interns to:

We are now accepting applications for a paid Staff Assistant Internship position for the Spring 2025 internship cycle. This role will be paid $17.80/hr.听and will start mid-January 2024. We are looking for candidates who can commit聽25-35 hours per week from聽January to April 2024, with the potential to extend.听

At this time, ECSP is currently offering hybrid internships. Interns must be based in the Washington, D.C. area to assist with in-person events work from 澳门六合彩 office 2-3 days per week. Please direct any questions to Claire.Doyle@wilsoncenter.org.

As an ECSP Intern, primary responsibilities may include:

  • Researching and writing stories for聽听补苍诲 ECSP鈥檚 website
  • Researching environment, security, development, global health, and demography topics in support of program-related activities
  • Assisting the planning and implementation of events and conferences
  • Assisting in the preparation of publications and/or outreach materials
  • Performing administrative assignments in support of ECSP activities
  • Drafting posts to promote events, publications, and content featured on on ECSP鈥檚 social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram)
  • Assisting with external program communications, including drafting, formatting, and proofing program newsletters and event invitations for ECSP鈥檚 mailing lists

Requirements:

Potential interns should be students, prospective students (within the next year), and/or recent graduates (within the last year) with an interest in, coursework related to, and/or experience working on environmental and human security.

In addition, applicants should:

  • Possess strong research, writing, and/or administrative skills
  • Be detail-oriented
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a group

An individual selected for an internship will be expected to present proper evidence establishing his or her eligibility to work in the United States prior to being appointed.听The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 requires employers to hire only individuals who are eligible to work in the United States. Please note that we cannot sponsor a visa for you to work in the United States.

International students are eligible, but they must hold a valid F-1 or J-1 visa and appropriate work authorization.听 All international students must obtain written permission from their Designated School Official (DSO) or Responsible Officer (RO) for visas at their university stating that they are in valid immigration status and eligible to do an internship at the Center.
