Lisa Palmer is a journalist, author, and Research Professor of Science Communication[1]  at George Washington University. With over two decades of experience in journalism and academia, she has dedicated her career to advancing environmental storytelling and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. For the past 10 years, Palmer has overseen communication initiatives aimed at inspiring early-career scientists and communicators to tackle pressing environmental issues. Her research and teaching focus on science journalism, sustainability communication, and climate change. Palmer is the author of Hot, Hungry Planet: The Fight to Stop a Food Crisis in the Face of Climate Change (2017; St. Martin’s Press) and remains an active journalist, public speaker, and writer focused on communicating pathways to environmental sustainability.
