Macron's Party and Left-Wing Alliance Block Far-Right Majority in French Elections
In France鈥檚 recent legislative elections, the country鈥檚 left-wing New Popular Front alliance and President Emmanuel Macron鈥檚 centrist coalition thwarted the anticipated victory of Marine Le Pen鈥檚 far-right National Rally. The turn-around comes only a week after聽France's far-right National Rally made historic gains in the first round of snap elections.聽William Drozdiak, a Global Fellow with 澳门六合彩鈥檚 Global Europe Program, provides an overview of the final election results.
